Thiruvananthapuram: AICC general secretary and former chief minister Oommen Chandy refused to respond to the allegations raised against him by VM Sudheeran and PJ Kurian.

“Both of them are important to me. I don’t want to make an emotional comment on the allegations. I am not interested in making any controversy. People who have links with Congress know the truth behind all these allegations,” said Oommen Chandy.

He noted that during his visit to Andhra Pradesh, he asked the partymen to avoid making public statements regarding issues within the party.

“I should not violate the rule,” said the AICC general secretary revealing his stand.

Meanwhile, he dismissed the allegation that he visited Andhra Pradesh in order to skip the party meeting.

“I visited Andhra Pradesh with the permission of KPCC president and opposition leader. I could not manage to attend the meeting in Kerala as the visit to Andhra was pre-planned and it was difficult to cancel it,” said Oommen Chandy.
